Seattle’s own Golden Tate joined the team to Uncork for a Cause, hosting a special charity event to benefit Gilda’s Club Seattle.
One of football’s hottest receivers and his special guests got together for an exclusive evening featuring the release party for Gilda’s Club Seattle’s very own 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, a fantastic Columbia Valley wine from J. Bookwalter Wines and acclaimed winemakers John Bookwalter and Travis Maple.
Admission included a free bottle of Gilda’s Club Cabernet Sauvignon. In support of Gilda’s Club Seattle, Golden autographed the wine bottles for a nominal donation. Guests also enjoyed a selection of hors d’oeuvres, a hosted beer and wine bar, plus an auction packed with local and national sports items, fine wine lots and VIP tours with many elite wine producers from Washington and California.
Founded in honor of the late Gilda Radner, Gilda’s Club Seattle provides social, emotional, and educational support for cancer survivors, their loved ones and friends, providing support for thousands of people in their Seattle Clubhouse and in the larger community with their Gilda’s on the Go Program. Gilda’s Club Seattle programs serve anyone touched by cancer across the cancer continuum — from diagnosis, through treatment and post-treatment, survivorship, and bereavement, including children, teens and whole families.
Golden and his guests helped support the many programs and services provided by Gilda’s Club Seattle, another great Cause!
